Comoros President Azali Assoumani, to satisfy his son’s power.

The President of Comoros, Azali Assoumani, has publicly said that he intends to hand over power to his son Nour El Fath when he leaves office in 2029.

Assoumani said this on Thursday in his speech to his supporters in the island of Moheli.

Assoumani, after his re-election a year ago, appointed his son El Fath to be in charge of coordinating government affairs.

However, the information has brought whispers in the country, some claiming that the move could incite violence
