Coroner, Michael Baden, has expressed hope that the 14,000 documents chosen to be revealed by the President of the United States, Donald Trump, will shed light on the assassination of President John F Kennedy in 1963.
According to Dr. Baden, the initial report of the autopsy of the late JFK, performed by Dr. James Humes, was flawed due to the doctor’s lack of experience in investigating homicides.
However, the panel created by Congress in 1977 under the leadership of Dr. Baden revealed that Lee Harvey Oswald was alone in the murder.
There are various theories that claim that Oswald was inspired by officials of intelligence agencies such as the CIA or the FBI, or even other countries such as Cuba or Russia.
Dr. Baden says that the delayed release of the documents could reveal the truth, as well as any operational deficiencies from the relevant agencies.
Although there are still many questions, Dr. Baden believes that the initial reports about the two shots that hit Kennedy in the back revealed the truth of the events.
These documents may help shed more light on Oswald’s motive for the assassination and whether there was a larger conspiracy.
