A small plane that was carrying oil well workers in Unity State, South Sudan, has crashed and killed 20 people.
The Minister of Information of Unity State, Gatwech Bipal, has said that the plane crashed this Wednesday morning at the Unity airport while leaving for the capital city of Juba.
Bipal explained that the passengers were employees of the oil company Greater Pioneer Operating Company (GPOC), which includes China National Oil Corporation and Nile Oil Corporation owned by the government of South Sudan.
Among the dead are two Chinese citizens and one Indian, although he did not give further details about the cause of the accident.
