American rapper Lil Wayne is preparing for an alleged assault case against his former assistant, Andrew Williams, as he struggles to hide his financial situation from the legal process.
The case involves an incident in 2022, where Williams claims that he was attacked by Lil Wayne by punching him while they were on a private plane after a dispute between Lil Wayne and the pilot.
Williams says he tried to defuse the situation but was attacked with punches that involved Lil Wayne’s gold rings and jewelry, and he claims he was seriously injured.
He ran to emergency services after the incident and claimed physical and psychological harm, seeking compensation for the harm he suffered.
Wayne has denied the charges, insisting he acted in self-defense and claiming some of the charges are out of date.
The rapper has also claimed that his financial situation should be left out of the case so that it does not affect the court process.
He wants information about his wealth to be withheld unless he is convicted, claiming that involving financial matters before sentencing could unfairly influence the judge.
Also, Lil Wayne has opposed Williams’ request for a face-to-face meeting, saying that he should be given the opportunity to make a statement remotely like Williams did.
The case continues, with Lil Wayne wanting to get rid of it completely and asking the court to pay him.
