Following death of four people in an attempted cattle rustling in Loiyangalani area, residents have been called upon not to hide the criminals, but instead report them to security agencies.
According to Loiyangalani Sub-County Deputy County Commissioner (DCC) Stanley Kimanga, security is every citizens’ responsibility, by reporting anyone who breaks the law including reporting those who disrupt peace.
Kimanga said that the police would have arrested the perpetrators of the heinous act, only if residents could provide information to the officers investigating the case, as the criminals were from the neigbouring counties.
“Do not allow people from other counties to come and create differences among you, as they continue living in peace with other communities in their county. Report them even if they come from your community, do not hide them because they are disrupting our peace in our area, and that is what we are discouraging, as they leave after causing troubles,” he said.
Kimanga further said that going forward, residents should inform the security agencies of any new member visiting the region, to track them down incase they cause troubles.
