Taifa Leo: The National Police Service (NPS) released the names of the officers who shot mask vendor Boniface Kariuki, during the protests, the two Klinzy Barasa and Duncan Kiprono, have been interdicted, according to NPS. Barasa shot Kariuki on the left side of the head at a trailer close point blank range.
The 22-year-old underwent a successful surgery confirmed by Dr. William Sigilai of Kenyatta National Hospital, who said the bullet was removed but he remains under a critical condition as medics continue to watch over him. The hospital said it received 16 casualties from protests with 9 already discharged, as 7 are admitted with gunshots wound and blunt trauma.
