Former Kakamega senator and DCP Deputy Party Leader Cleophas Malala has faulted the Deputy President Kithure Kindiki for neglecting his duties and focusing on church harambees and unequal empowerment drives.
Speaking in a church service in Meru County during their three day, Malala said that the DP has been skipping cabinet meetings and now directed to distribute money in sacks across the country in harambees.
According to Malala, the responsibilities his party leader Rigathi Gachagua was doing including championing for tea and coffee reforms, and the fight against drug and substance abuse have been halted by President William Ruto, who is currently sending him across the country.
“Hiyo kazi yote Rigathi Gachagua alikuwa anafanya umeondoa kwake. Now you are being used to distribute money the whole week in harambees. DP mzima ameacha kazi ya kushugulia ASAL areas, coffee and tea reforms, the fight against drug abuse, Kindiki is not even attending cabinet meetings ,anapewa pesa kwa magunia aende adistribute Kenya mzima,” Malala remarked.
Malala further slamming Kindiki for taking mega empowerments to the president’s backyard, and giving the same money to youths in the region to buy alcohol and cause violence against Gachagua. He disclosed that Kindiki distributed money to youths to disrupt Gachagua’s rallies in the county, which failed miserably.
“Anatembea akigawa pesa ya empowerment, akienda huko kwa kina rais anapatiwa pesa ya empowerment kuchukua pikipiki poshmill and other machines, with a lot of power. Lakini akikuja hapa Meru, ile pesa ya empowerment anapatia vijana wakunywe pombe, walinge Rigathi Gachagua mawe,” he further stated.
He advised the DP to stop wasting time, as he is being used by President William Ruto, and has agreed with leaders from the Western Region to hand his position to them. Malala further arguing that the president is only using him to fight Gachagua, like how he used legislators from the region to impeach him, and will later drop him.
“Those leaders from Western have called me to desert Gachagua, they told me President William Ruto has agreed with them to hand over the DP position to the region, Kindiki you are wasting your time. Wanakutumia vile walitumia wale wabunge wa hapa mlima kuondoa mtoto wao, and now they are using you to fight your brother. I worked with Ruto huyo mtu ni mkora! Kindly believe us, we have worked with him and we know him inside out,” Malala added.
Former Agriculture CS Mithika Linturi, sharing similar calls to Kindiki, that the Ruto is using him to advance his political career, and will later drop him, as he has done with leaders from the region, urging him to be careful.
