Two suspect were arraigned at Marsabit Law Courts after assaulting a 17-year-old girl with hot slasher on her buttocks, and later threatened to kill her if she speaks up.
The two suspects Hani Boru the mother to the victim, and his elder brother Hassan Daesa, are said to have committed the heinous act to the girl, after allegations of the girl being involved in a romantic relation in the area.
Appearing before Marsabit Law Courts Senior Magistrate Simon Arome, the two have been charged with two cases including child abuse, a crime that was committed on June 15, in Majengo Marsabit Central Ward, that left the victim with serious burn injuries on her buttocks.
Additionally, the two Boru and Daesa are further charged with threatening to kill the victim after committing the crime against her. The two were arrested on June, Sunday, 22, and their case will be mentioned on July 8, as the suspects remain in custody for further investigations to be concluded.
According to the Courts report the victim was rescued and is currently being held at Missionaries of Charity Children’s Home within Marsabit, as Arome directed that the the Departments of Social Services and Children, to investigate the environmnt in which the victim lived in before and submit the report in the next Court sitting.
