It is either you are with Kenyans, or face their wrath! The latest artist to irritate Kenyans was urbantone artist Dyana Code, who expressed her love for President William Ruto and his leadership.
On her Instagram post, she expressed her views about the impact of bad governance, urging the Gen Zs fighting for change and good governance, that they can only change the next leaders and not the current leadership.
“I love my president and I stand by that! Just know a country with bad governance is better than one with no governance. You can’t change the current leaders but you change the coming generation of leaders,” Dyana Cods wrote.
Irritated by her post, popular actress Wanjiku Stephens reshared the post on her wall, which sparked a heated exchange between the two celebrities, with Dyana Cods threatening to sue Wanjiku, in case of any damages arising from her post. In response, Wanjiku told her she ahs the back up of MP Babu owino.
“Dyana Cods, I’m not your mate. I will die for this country, You know I thank god I can’t reply cos I mightend up in jail. uko na bahati I’m banned from replying to messages. mimi niko na Babu Owino, oneni huyu anaithreaten. Take a seat at a corner please, Wakenya tuko na vitu mingi sana za kufanya,” Wanjiku responded.
Joining their fight on Instagram, Kenyans expressed their disappointment to the artist, from her lack of situational awareness, and siding with oppressors, and trolling her for failing to construct a simple English statement. Below are some reactions from Kenyans;
“Wajinga wamejaa Kenya, msee anapenda aje msee ameua youth wenzake,” DMK_11 commented.
“Heyu ndio gari ya kwenda wapi?? She can’t even write simple English,” Gracie Nduta added.
“Maasive unfollow,ukienyeji itamuua,” Unrully_unruly wrote.
“Damage caused na ni yeye amesema anasupport wantam. Mtoto mjinga kama huyo president wake,” Pamie Joyce added.
“Si huyo lawyer atasunscribe tu waskize ngoma zake jue nimeskia ni muimbaji,! My lawyer my lawyer,” Junter Maina wrote.
Following the harsh criticism, she later wrote that her new song “Zakayo Anashuka” is coming, a clout to attract attention to the new song, urging her fans to subscribe. She further apologized if her remarks had hurt anyone.
