Popular Isiolo Tiktoker and blogger Ismail Abdikadir has succumbed at Isiolo County Referral Hospital early Friday morning.
Abdikadir a close ally of Isiolo County Assembly Speaker Mohamed Roba was allegedly attacked by goons who have been trailing for days, after relentlessly receiving threatening message and calls from unknown people.
In a photo shared online, shows a massive skull crack Abdikadir sustained on his skull after the attack, reportedly inflicted by a blunt object by his attackers.
His family had earlier refuted claims of their kin being involved in an accident as preliminary reports indicated, and called for justice for their son.
The attack on Abdikadir comes a week after a vocal elderly man, known for his political activism in the county was discovered partially burnt and dead at Prison farm (Shamba la prison) at Kambi Bulle, few hours after the impeachment of Governor Abdi Guyo, by the County Assembly of Isiolo.
The incident further heightening political tension, following chaos currently witnessed in the county, with politics of removal from office of Governor Abdi Guyo fills the county.
Political tension in the county has been high, with opponents of Guyo accusing him of sending goons and intimidating his opponents for filing an impeachment motion against him.
However, Guyo survived the impeachment, after Senate dismissed his case, citing irregular procedures in the process. The County’s Senator Fatuma Dullo decried that her life and others are in danger, after what she said was premature dismissal of the case.
Dullo faulted the Senate for dropping the case prematurely, terming the dismissal as disastrous following chaos witnessed in the County by opponents of Governor Guyo. Similar sentiments were echoed by senators Ali Roba and Aaron Cheruiyot who said justice had not been served to the people of Isiolo and the County Assembly.
