Former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i has presented himself as the best presidential candidate in the 2027 General elections to fix the country, if Kenyans truly want to see the country being transformed from its current state.
Speaking on Monday at K24, the tough spoken Matiang’i said his only goal is to fix the country from its grappling challenges including economic, failure to uphold the constitution and disregard to human rights in the country.
According to him, he has no political debt to settle with anyone, an bests suit to rescue the country back to its famous glory internationally and in economic status and dominance.
“If this country wants seriousness and delivery of services, I am one of the candidates they should look at very carefully. I have no scores to settle with anyone. I have no political debts. I am here for only one purpose making the contribution to fix the challenges that face my country and to go forward,” said Matiang’i.
Matiang’i said that the country is at a better place for transformation, owing to its resources, a large population of educated young adults, which he said will give him an easier time to fix the country, if given the opportunity to lead the country by Kenyans.
“Countries go through situations like we are going through right now. The worst thing that can happen to all of us is to lose hope in our country, to sometimes feel discouraged. These circumstances are meant to educate us and make us better people. We are a resilient country and this is what gives me hope and pride. Kenya has a great capacity and we will rise again. Our future will be better,” he explained.
Matiang’i dispelled the ongoing romours of split in the the united opposition stating that the team will deliberate and come up with a best candidate to oust Ruto in 2027, remarks that were earlier emphasized by DCP party leader Rigathi Gachagua.
Matiang’i further refuted claims of taking part in the proposed National Dialogue dubbed Conclave, to solve issues currently affecting the country, as proposed by ODM party leader Raila Odinga, stating that there is nothing to talk about that has not been raised by the Gen Zs.
