President William Ruto has asked youths to avoid and not accept to be led by leaders who have no agenda and propagating tribal and hateful politics, posing a challenge to his competitors give out their plan on how they will create jobs for the youths in the country.
Speaking in Dandora, Ruto stated that inciting youths to cause chaos, violence and mayhem is not the solution to the menace of unemployment, or a substitute to lack of job opportunities.
“Do not accept to be led by leaders who have no plan and those driven by tribalism and hatred. We do not have time for chaos and violence in our country,” Ruto told the youths.
The Head of State slammed his opponents for lacking a tangible agenda, as he highlighted the agenda outline by his administration to create employment, including the recent launched Climate WorX programme has created 200,000 jobs nationally, complementing the already 320,000 jobs created by Affordable Housing Program.
“What is your plan? It cannot be that your plan is to incite and pay young people to destroy property and burn businesses. That is not acceptable,” Ruto said.
Ruto further mentioning that Jitume Lab has employed over 180,000 youths, already earning online, with an additional 400, 000 jobs created from labour mobility.
Ruto assured the people that his administration will not exclude anyone, but ensure everyone is onboarded regardless of their community, or region, the president further emphasizing his commitment to unite the country and wiping out tribalism, he claimed is being spread by the opposition.
Taking time to encourage residents not to miss out on government programs, he called on residents of Dandora to register with government’s insurance health Social Health Authority (SHA), committing to work on to ensure that Kenyans do not miss out on services.
“I will make sure SHA works and everybody who goes to hospital is treated and SHA pays the bills,” President Ruto affirmed.
