Moments after Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Eliud Lagat released his statement noting he is stepping aside to allow investigations into the death of X blogger Albert Ojwang’ to be concluded, Kenyans did not miss a word for him.
His decision coming after outrage from members of the public and human rights, after he was adversely mentioned as the complainant in the case with the deceased, who was arrested by DCI officers after he made a complaint of defamation.

“The “stepping aside” of Eliud Lagat is a first step. Next we demand resignation, arrest and prosecution,” Former CJ David Maraga.
“The Inspector General of Police, Mr Kanja, must now move with minimum delay and arrest this guy..,” Senator Boni Khalwale.
“Eliud Lagat has resigned is Deputy Inspector General. Now he should present himself in court to be jailed,” ItsKipronoh.
