Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei has called out ODM Secretary General and Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna for misleading the country on the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between ODM and UDA.
Taking to his X account, Cherargei accused Sifuna of faulting the agreement for not working, yet their partnership is working out smoothly., and he was among ODM officials who signed the document in March.
“Senator sifuna is misleading the nation yet ODM signed a working partnership with Kenya kwanza Government which is working on very well. He signed the document.
During an interview with Citizen TV on Tuesday evening, Sifuna said that the MOU is null and void, as the Kenya Kwanza administration has failed to uphold the content of the document, and had earlier shown lack of interest in their partnership.
According to Cherargei, Sifuna is disappointed as most of his colleagues were appointed to the cabinet, ad argued him to accept the reality of President William Ruto and his party leader former Prime Minister Raila Odinga working together even, after 2027 General Elections.
After the agreement, key ODM officials joined government after Gen Z protests, Hassan Joho joined Ministry of Mining and Blue Economy, John Mbadi National Treasury, Wycliffe Oparanya Co-operatives and MSMEs and Opiyo Wandayi Energy.
“Ruto and Raila shall work beyond 2027, the earlier he bolts out the better for him. He is disappointed that most of his colleagues were appointed to Cabinet Mbadi, Joho, Oparanya and Wandayi. Tutam is real,” he posted.
However, Odinga during an interview on Sunday, clarified that his support for President William Ruto was to stabilize the country and it goes up to 2027. Sifuna said the working relationship he had earlier opposed put the country in a jeopardizing position, bring confusion among its members.
Sifuna further accused Kenya Kwanza government for violating 2010 Constitution, by disregarding everything in the Constitution and doing contrary to everything outlined including respect of human life, which has attracted resentment towards Kenyans and their call for one-term.
The vocal Senator further said that Ruto’s led administration will go down in history as the worst government in the country, for killing its people and massively disregarding the Constitution of Kenya.
