Former Lugari Member of Parliament Cyrus Jirongo has died following a fatal road accident that occurred early this morning.
The incident happened at around 3:00 a.m. along the Nairobi-Nakuru Highway, where Jirongo’s vehicle was involved in a head-on collision with a Climax Coach bus. Emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after the crash, but he was pronounced dead on the spot.
Details surrounding the cause of the accident are still emerging, with authorities yet to issue an official statement. The condition of other occupants involved in the crash has not been confirmed.

Jirongo, a prominent political figure and businessman, served as the Lugari MP and was widely known for his influence in national politics over the years.
