Former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua has hit out at Majority Leader of the National Assembly Kimani Ichungw’ah as a blind follower of President William Ruto, and invisible in his struggle.
According to him, his course as mandated by the people of Kenya is Ruto, until the people of Kenya direct him otherwise, his goal is to ensure that President William Ruto finishes his one term and does not secure a second term.
He referred to Ichungw’ah as a’ flower girl’ of the president, and he has no animosity with him, as he has no impact on his mission.
” I have no beef, that is a sycophant of William Ruto, again he is an amplifier of William Ruto. My issue is William Ruto, those are just flower girls around him, members of the press and worship team, who see no evil, hear no evil. He is inconsequential, our main focus is William Ruto,” Gachagua hit out.
According to Gachagua, unless the President stops being the problem, and directed by the people he will ensure that he serves only one term, which he has repeatedly say is his duty.
“My instructions are very clear one term period. And if the presidents wants me to change that, he must talk to the people of Kenya to change the instructions to me, Once I’m told that, I will align very fast, I don’t argue with the people of Kenya,” Gachagua further stated.
Since his ouster from office, Gachagua has not failed to criticize the Kenya Kwanza government failures at any given opportunity, a chance also his former party colleagues never failed to throw jabs at him at any given opportunity, especially Ichungw’ah who before Gachagua’s ouster asked Ruto to get rid of Gachagua.
Gachagua’s latest move has caused a shiver in the political arena in the country, with his entry making the opposition more vibrant, despite fierce attack from close allies of president William Ruto, and a section of members of parliament from Mt. Kenya Region.
However, Gachagua has no let his guard down, aligning with the people to call on government to listen to Kenyans struggling with tough economic times.
