President William Ruto has told the opposition he will not handover power to them in 2027, if he is defeated in elections, as they have no tangible plans for the country.
Speaking during a church service at Friends Comprehensive School, Kivaywa, Kakamega County, Ruto stated that the he cannot handover power to people whose only agenda is “Ruto Must Go”, and lack a better plan on bettering the lives of Kenyans.
“Wengine hawana mpango, don’t waste your time. We cannot handover power to people with no plan. There only plan is Ruto Must Go, how will that help you? You have no plan to do anything!” Ruto remarked.
He faulted the team led by former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua, Kalonzo Musyoka, Eugene Wamalwa,Justin Muturi and Martha Karua, for not stating how they will solve the issue of unemployment in the country, the education of Kenyan children, instead they are focused on spreading tribal politics
According to the head of state, the opposition is lead with people full of anger, hatred and resentment, and dared them to face if they have an issue with him and not Kenyans, promising to deal with them when the time comes.
“They have no plan on how to create employment opportunities for our youths, how Kenyan children will be educated, what is happening in the agricultural sector. Their biggest job is tribalism, shares and hatred. Their talks is full of resentment, if they have a problem with me, they should not go to Kenyans, but come and face me, nitawamalizia hapo kando,” he further stated.
The remarks were echoed by leaders from the Western region, who backed up the reelection of the president for the second term. According to Vihiga Women representative Beatrice Adagala, the region will not allow other leaders coming to divide them, echoing that Ruto will serve his 10 years.
The opposition has vowed to ensure President William Ruto does not secure a second chance, through a slogan coiled by Gachagua, Wantam, to failing to deliver on his promises to Kenyans, including high cost of living, ending abductions and killings of young Kenyans, as well as ending corruption.
