President William has said told off his critics that he will not relent in transforming the country through by working on lowering the current high cost of living and boosting food security in the country.
Speaking during of the the launch of the Affordable Housing Internship Programme at State House, Ruto said that his commitment is to deliver to the people of Kenya and will not be distracted on his course by the opposition to implement his agenda and stabilizing the economy will not be pulled down.
“We have a plan on how to create jobs my friends. So let nobody lie to you. You know when you hear people speak it is as if Kenya is the worst country in the world,” Ruto stated.
The Head of State who has recently seem ed annoyed by the utterances of the opposition, said that those seeing the country as worst are misguided, because the country has achieved great strides, citing his affordable housing project he said the government has achieved in one and half years, has not be achieved by many nations.
“We are a great country, we must reject those who tell us otherwise that Kenya is a failed State, which failed state? Where? Do you know what a failed state looks like? My commitment to transforming this nation is not reversable, nothing is going to stop me from driving a transformation that is going to change Kenya and take us where we have always wanted to be,” Ruto emphasized.
Ruto said that his drive to further stabilize the economy will not be negotiable, despite what the opposition says, as the country’s economy data will vindicate him. He further stated that he fully understands what needs to be done to have a better economy as a country.
“Many people want simplicity, they even don’t believe in numbers . I hear so many people saying, you have taken on too many assignments. You know you should do some of these now. You should wait. You remain popular so that you can implement some of them some other time,” Ruto added.
The Head of State said that he will no longer postpone the transformation of the country, as it has been delayed for awhile, and as president for one time, he will ensure transformation is achieved.
“It is not always that you get an opportunity to be president. It comes once in a lifetime. So when you get that opportunity, don’t waste it, right?” Ruto questioned.
