Kachewa village in Bulla Pesa area of Isiolo County has been thrown into morning after five members of the same family were burnt to death in a fire at their home.
The unfortunate incident happened on Tuesday evening, with reports from neighbours indicating that the fire started while the five were sleeping, killing all of them.
Local reports further indicate that efforts by neighbours to put out the fire was in vain as the fire had spread, making it difficult to rescue the family trapped inside the inferno. Everything was consumed when the firefighters and county emergency services arrived at the scene.
The cause leading to the tragic incident has not yet been established, as investigation begin to establish the cause of the deadly inferno that wiped out the family.
A similar incident happened in the neigbouring county Marsabit in Dukana area, North Horr Constituency, after a child survived death by a whisker after their house caught fire while the parents were away.
The cause of fire remained unknown, as the family lost everything in the incident, which raised tension in the area, as clan clashes and revenge from both Isiolo and Marsabit counties start with such small situations before escalating further into deadly clashes.
