Isiolo South Member of Parliament Mohamed Tubi has accused Governor Abdi Guyo and Count Assembly Clerk Salad Boru of interfering with leadership of the County Assembly of Isiolo, throwing the county into a leadership crisis.
Addressing the press on Sunday, Tubi accused Guyo of fueling unrest since the tabling of his impeachment by Members of County Assembly (MCAs) in June, despite the County Assembly doing its work as mandated in the Constitution, which is wrong for Guyo to use it as a point of target.
“Isiolo has had issues since June 10, the problem is that County Assembly has its mandate according to the Constitution to do what they are supposed to do, and they did what they were supposed to do. You have seen the type of Governor we have since the appearance in Senate, after County Assembly rose against his acts, since then Isiolo has never had peace,” Tubi said.
Tubi further linked Guyo to the goons who booed at President William Ruto during his development tour in the area, as it has never been witnessed in the county, with goons taking over the county, including the recent storming of the chambers by goons after his impeachment.
According to Tubi, Guyo has used the money allocated to spear development for the people of Isiolo to pay goons who are causing mayhem in the county.
“We have close to KSh 76 billion that does not go to the committee. That money is being used to pay goons to terrorize official leaders Isiolo by use of security officers,” Tubi claimed.
He called out Boru for gazetting a Spaeker despite presence of seating Speaker Mohamed Roba, terming the act as shameful and further accusing Boru of handling outlawed activities in the county, including election of Jaldesa Banticha, who is currently a member in Financial Committee t the office of the CEC.
“Without being shameful, someone tried to gazette another speaker when a vacant is not there, without election that requires a Speaker t be elected with 75% of the members! That is criminal activity being orchestrated by the Clerk. It is criminal to gazette two speakers? That is criminal,” he said.
Banticha was gazetted by Boru, before his nomination was revoked by the Salad on Monday 14. He accused Guyo and Salad of allowing corruption in the county, calling for the intervention by the government or decamp to former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s camp, as he will help them solve their issue.
