Achi Shash, captured destroying documents and equipment inside Isiolo CountyAssembly on Thursday, after the impeachment of Governor Abdi Guyo.
The public in Isiolo County have successfully identified the man captured in viral video destroying County Assembly, when goons stormed inside after impeachment of Governor Abdi Guyo.
Guyo was impeached after 16 of 18 MCAs voted for his impeachment, over abuse of office, misuse of public funds and, gross misconduct, which violates Leadership and Integrity Act of the Constitution on Thursday 26.
This comes a day after public participation endorsed his impeachment. However questions were raised after two MCAs Major Jillo of Kinna Ward and Garbatulla Abdirashid Ali were missing, during the impeachment session.
The young man identified as Achi Shash on Tiktok, was among the goons who stormed the County Assembly premises and allegedly destroyed the documents and equipment inside the Assembly.
In what is termed as the daring move, Shash was capturing the event live on his Tiktok account, publicly declaring his support for Governor Guyo, and further calling for the burn of the County Assembly.
“Maliza hii kitu, tuko ndani, County Assembly of Isiolo, Tuko ndani Abdullahi, nikuwasha moto, hatutaki mchezo! G for G siku zote, washa moto,” Shash said in the viral video.
The goons further vandalised cars of the County Assembly staff parked outside, after the Speaker Mohamed Roba announced the impeachment of Guyo. A section of MCAs alleged that the embattled governor failed to appear before the Assembly to defend himself on the allegations, which led to his impeachment.
However, the Court had issued conservatory orders stopping the County Assembly for tabling the motion against Guyo, until the case is heard and determined on Monday, June 30.
Isiolo county has witnessed a series of uncertainty following the tabling of impeachment motion by MCAs, who claimed their lives were in danger, after Guyo used police to intimidate them, but vowed not to back down despite the intimidations, as the removal of the governor from office is the will of the people and enshrined in the Constitution of Kenya.
The MCAs further clarified that they have no ill-motive with the governor, but are working as mandated by the people of Isiolo and County Assembly Act, and called for protection against threats to their lives.
