On June, 3 2024, Kenyans and reggae funs across the world were thrown into mourning after reggae lover Njambi Koikai Alias Fyah Mummah, died after long battle with Endometriosis.
She was popular among reggae enthusiasts in the country and large with her skillful charms that kept the crowd alive, making her one of the few women in the Kenyan showbiz industry, taking the reggae stage by storm.
Before her demise she had lived her life, advocating for better services and treatment facilities for Endometriosis patients in the country, which made her an endo-warrior and advocate.
Endometriosis is a chronic medical condition, that is characterized by development of tissues similar to the lining of the uterus, growing outside the uterus and causing extreme pains to the patient.
Taking on social media to mark the anniversary, colleagues in the showbiz industry and Kenyans of all walks mourned and pledged to keep her legacy on.
“June 3rd 2024, one of darkest day of my life, The Lioness rested but she will forever roar. We miss you FYAH MUMMAH,” @Dj Double Trouble wrote.

Celebrated media personality and content creator Natalie Githinji in marking her friend, disclosed that she has not yet healed, one year after the death of Njambi Koikai. She narrated how by the mention of the late reggae enthusiast refreshens the memory and the pain.
“One year down, I still can’t drop that post, one year down, still in pain. Friday I was shopping somewhere and Gmoney’s mix was playing and he gave you a shout out…then the guy seated next to me shouted Njambi Koikai Fyah Mummah, and I felt as if a sharp sword had passed through my chest, and that is how I knew I have never healed.. My heart is still in pain,” read the Natalie’s post.
