Mumbi Maina has announced stepping down from her role as awarding winning RnB artist Otile Brown manager after one year, in her role.
In a statement she shared on Monday, Maina states that the decision come after much reflection, and mutual understanding between her and Brown.
“After much thought and reflection, I have made the decision to step down from my role as Otile Brown ‘s manager. The decision has been made with respect and mutual understanding,” she stated.
She praised Otile for according her a good working environment, taking pride in his resilience and creativity in his art, and memories they created working together.
“Working with Otile has been a journey I’ll always be proud of- full of growth, creativity and unforgettable moments. I remain grateful for the trust he placed in me and for the incredible support from his fans, partners, and everyone who has been part of this chapter,” she added.
Mumbi further stated that the her decision will provide the them with an opportunity to venture into other issues, stating it was an appropriate time for her peace and charting way forward in her career.
“As with any creative journey, there comes a time when paths naturally shift. For the sake of my peace, purpose and professional evolution. I believe this is the right time to take a step back and allow space for new direction -both for Otile and for myself,” she explained.
Otile announced Maina in Januray 2024, after partying ways with his then manager Joseph Noriega after working together for six years.
