
Eliud Lagat, the Deputy Inspector General KIPS, is on the watch after X blogger’s death over the weekend. According to the Inspector General of Police (IG) Douglas Kanja, Lagat is the complainant of the arrest of the now deceased Albert Omondi Ojwang’.
Kanja has maintained that Ojwang’ was found unconscious in his police cell at the Central Police Station, when he was rushed to Mbagathi Hospital and pronounced dead on arrival. Pressure continues to mount to the senior police boss to resolve the mysterious death of the 31-year-old blogger.
On Monday 9, Kanja interdicted OCS Central police Station, Cell Sentry and all officers on duty when the incident happened pending investigations. He revealed that his deputy complaint about a defamatory post by the deceased blogger, which called for swift probe.
