Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has lauded the decision by Tanzania President Mama Samia Suluhu Hassan to deport Senior Council Martha Karua, lawyer Gloria Kimani, Lynn Ngugi, Boniface Mwangi, Hanifa Farsafi and former CJ Willy Mutunga.
In a viral posted on his X account, Sudi blasted Kenyans making noise and pushing hashtags on social media about the detention and deportation, saying if he was in the position he would have severely punished them.
“I have seen people making noise on Tiktok, Twitter, Facebook and on radio in a blast about what happened to Kenyans in Tanzania. If I was in that position, ningewaweka viboko, detained them for two more days, so that when they comeback home they are well mannered,” Sudi stated.
He faulted Kenyans of their naughty character, where there is misuse of freedom of expression, unlike Tanzania, and West Africa, where citizens are not allowed to speak about politics, further cautioning Kenyans not to cross their limit to other nations.
“This naughty behaviour among Kenyans is not everywhere, leave alone Tanzania, in West Africa, they are not even allowed to talk about politics. We abuse everyone, this naughty behaviour of ours, we should not project to other nations my friends. Just do all your naughtiness here in Kenya ,” he cautioned.
He hit out at the lawyers for pretending to go and solve cases in other countries, when the courts in the country have a backlog of cases. He emphasized to Kenyans not spill their misuse of democracy to other nations.
His remarks comes barely a day after CS Foreign Affairs Musalia Mudavadi defended Suluhu for her decision to deport Kenyans, as Kenyans have lacked etiquette and there is some element of truth in her decision and remarks about not allowing foreigners to interfere with the sovereignty of the Republic of Tanzania.
His remarks however received backlash from Nairobi senator Edwin Sifuna, who said Musalia siding with Tanzania on deportation of Kenyans is unimaginable. LSK had also faulted that the move threatens the Eat African Community Treaty, which calls for free movement of member citizens without restrictions.
