- Fear of unknown creature spotted in KargiArge, Marsabit county.
Residents of Arge sub location, South Horr location, Kargi division, Loiyangalani sub county, Marsabit are fearing for their lives after spotting unfamiliar creature rooming around plains between Kargi & Arge villages just below the main Lake Turkana Wind Power project road in Arge Sub Location.
According to South Horr sub location assistant chief, Jonathan Ogom, the animal was first reported by herders who spotted unusual footprints.
Later their fears were confirmed after witnessing the creature one on one with their naked eyes.
The description of the animal is that; it walks but is not fully upright as human beings with a huge body fully covered with hair (like a gorilla).
The residents and the administration are therefore appealing for support from the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) to act swiftly.
“We kindly request support from the KWS where necessary because the herders are stressed up because they don’t know how aggressive the creature is, which is the main reason as to why they fear to follow the creature for confirmation.” The area assistant chief appealed.
